Uday V. Doctor, M.D.
Uday Doctor, M.D. is board-certified and fellowship-trained physician who specializes in spinal diagnostics and therapeutics. He is the cofounder of SpineCare Consultants, a member of Fondren Orthopedic Group and serves as the chief of Spinal Diagnostics and Therapeutics at Texas Orthopedic Hospital. Additionally, he is on staff at Methodist Hospital.
He obtained his medical training at the University of Texas Medical School in San Antonio, TX. Following a residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, Dr. Doctor received two fellowships at Baylor College of Medicine and one at Boston Children’s Hospital in Boston, MA. He was also a clinical assistant professor at Baylor College of Medicine, where he trained residents and fellows.
Dr. Doctor has been included in Texas Super Doctors as seen in Texas Monthly for seven straight years 2011-2017. This distinction is voted on by other Houston physicians, with only 5% of the doctors in the state being selected to the list.
Over the last twenty years, he has used the combination of minimally invasive diagnostic procedures along with his therapy and exercise program, Straight Spine Safe Spine™, to bring lasting relief to many patients.
He is a consultant to many professional athletes and college sports teams in Houston and Texas.
Michael T. McCann, M.D.
Dr. McCann received his medical training at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. He performed his surgical training at Indiana University Medical Center before completing his anesthesia residency at Baylor College of Medicine. Additional specialty fellowships in spine care and pain management were completed at Texas Tech University Medical Center and Baylor College of Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology with additional subspecialty certification in Pain Management, and is board certified by the American Board of Pain Medicine.
Dr. McCann is on staff at the Texas Orthopedic Hospital, the Methodist Hospital and the Kirby Surgical Center. After training with leading international neurosurgeons, orthopedists and neurologists, he became a clinical professor at Baylor College of Medicine. While there, he established and was the director of the Interventional Spine Care Fellowship Program. In addition to current clinical duties, he continues to teach in the combined Baylor and University of Texas Spinal Surgery Fellowship Program. Dr. McCann is a member of the International Spine Interventional Society and serves on the Education Committee. He has served on the Executive Board of the Texas Orthopedic Hospital. He remains a spinal consultant for professional sports franchises and has been in practice in Houston since 1988.
Jeff M Arthur, M.D.
Dr. Arthur received his medical training at the Texas Tech University School of Medicine in Lubbock and at the Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. He is board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Management by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He was an Assistant Professor at Texas Tech University Medical Center where he was chief of the Cancer Pain Service. He is an expert for the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners.
Dr. Arthur is on the staff of Northeast Medical Center Hospital, Conroe Regional Medical Center and the Texas Orthopedic Hospital. He has written numerous articles on spinal pain diagnostics and therapeutics.
