Neck Pain

x

Pain in the neck area that lasts over two to three weeks is most likely caused by an underlying spine problem. The pain is usually worse with movement and can cause surrounding muscle spasms and headaches. The source of the pain can be identified with special diagnostic procedures to allow for optimal treatment.

Shoulder Pain

x

Pain in the shoulder is always difficult to diagnose based solely on examination. Since many people have tears in the cartilage or tendons of their shoulders because of natural degeneration or aging, even an MRI cannot reliably tell you what hurts. Often, shoulder pain is actually caused by problems in your neck - even if you do not have significant neck pain. Through special diagnostic procedures, it is possible to isolate the source of your discomfort so treatment is directed to the actual cause of your pain.

Arm Pain

x

If you have been experiencing pain, weakness, numbness, burning or tingling feelings, or other symptoms in your arm for over 4 weeks, the symptoms may be caused by problems in your back. Our physicians have developed diagnostic procedures that can identify the possible cause of your pain, so that a treatment plan can be developed to directly address your individual needs.

Groin Pain

x

Pain in the groin area has been shown to occur due to problems of the hip and of lower back. THe hip joint commonly refers pain to the groin area as does some of the nerves from the lumbar spine. Using diagnostic techniques, we can isolate the exact source of your groin pain.

Leg Pain

If you have been experiencing pain, weakness, numbness, burning or tingling feelings, or other symptoms in your leg for over 4 weeks, the symptoms may be caused by problems in your back. Our physicians have developed diagnostic procedures that can identify the possible cause of the problem and develop a treatment plan for your specific needs.

Thoracic Pain

x

Mid-back pain of longer than four weeks is usually due to an area of inflammation in the thoracic spine. This is usually caused either by a bulging disc or a nerve in the spine irritated by a bending and twisting motion. The pain can even wrap around your chest wall. After conducting a spinal examination and reviewing your prior studies, we can come up with a plan to pinpoint the source of your pain.

Lower Back Pain

x

Back pain is a common problem that most of us will experience. Fortunately, the majority of back point is short-term and will disappear after a few days or a couple of weeks. However, if you've suffered back pain for over 4 weeks, the precise cause of pain will need to be determined. In our practice, we focus on 3 key sources that could cause back pain - facet joints, disks and nerves.

Tailbone Pain

x

Pain in and around the tailbone is called coccydynia. Coccydynia usually radiates to the lower sacral areas of the body. Coccydynia can originate from the coccyx or the soft tissues surrounding the tailbone, or it can be "referred" from the lumbar spine.

Buttock Pain

x

Buttock pain is a very frequent complaint by patients. However, this pain often comes from a problem in another area of the body. Some causes of buttock pain can be pressure on a nerve root in the spine from a displaced disk, problems with the sacroiliac joint (the joint between the spine and the pelvis), or referred pain from facet joints or disc disruptions and tears. During your initial appointment with one of our physicians, a plan will be made to diagnose the specific cause of pain and a treatment plan will be established to address the problem.
